2024 - 2025 EDITION
This year, FREEWAY presents an open theme, inviting participants to address a wide range of political, social, religious, cultural, and other issues. Participants must identify a problem and present a suggestion or proposal as a solution to that problem in a video of no more than 5 minutes.

SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM IN A VIDEO OF NO MORE THAN 5 MINUTES.
At FREEWAY, we believe in the power of the citizen’s voice as a fundamental pillar of democracy; therefore, we invite you to share your reflections on the local, state and federal levels of government and all aspects of the electoral process, political representation, equity in voting, and any other aspect you consider relevant in the context of government and its branches. From the influence of media and electoral campaigns to the integrity of the voting process and citizen participation, each video will be a window into the multiple facets of our democracy.

Geographical eligibility:
This festival is open to participants from around the world, with no restrictions on nationality or residence.
Minimum age:
To participate, you must be 18 years of age or older.
We value the maturity and depth that lived experiences bring to conversations about our political and electoral system.

Video duration:
To ensure the inclusion of a diversity of voices and perspectives, we limit the duration of videos to a maximum of 5 minutes.
This concise format encourages creativity and allows for a dynamic exchange of ideas and solutions.

AWARDS
Our voting system is designed to ensure complete transparency and engagement with our audience. First, second and third winners will be determined by interactions on our platforms. This approach eliminates the need for a specific jury, empowering our community to directly choose the winners. The outcome will be decided based on the top three entries receiving the highest number of votes, ranked from highest to lowest. This method ensures that the decision-making process is in the hands of the people, reflecting our commitment to fairness and community involvement.
Winners must comply with all applicable laws and regulations
in order to be eligible to receive monetary awards.
The Popularity Award will be determined by the total combined likes, shares,views engagements, saves, reposts, comments and remixes across all Freeway’s social channels/accounts, this award offers an exceptional opportunity to fully furnish an apartment or house, regardless of its size or location within the United States. Valued at $50,000, this prize covers the complete cost of furnishing your living space, transforming it into a comfortable and stylish home. It’s important to note that while this award includes the expense of transportation, recipients are responsible for any additional requirements. This comprehensive package is designed to cater to your furnishing needs, ensuring that your home not only meets but exceeds your expectations.

Therefore, we include the following note for your knowledge and peace of mind:
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS
We are pleased that you are considering joining the conversation at FREEWAY, the festival that celebrates freedom of expression and constructive dialogue. We want to inform you that all videos received will be carefully reviewed and published on the official FREEWAY website. Starting in November 2024, the videos will be showcased on our platforms for a period of 6 months, and the top 3 videos with the most interactions will be selected to receive first, second, and third prizes.
The videos will be published on our official website and social media platforms. Please note that the publication on these platforms will be done in accordance with the specific regulations and rules of each social network. We encourage you to share your video and encourage friends, family, and followers to vote for your entry.
